is the wait really 8 to 12 weeks or is it longer
im planing on ordering a new camaro the dealers or all telling me that its gunna be 8 to 12 weeks is this the truth or are they just trying to get me to order and im going to wait like 6 7 8 months for this car.

I ordered mine on 5-23, she got built last week..so 8-12 wks sounds about right.

depends on allocations...possible quality control...hard to give a real answer
|
8 to twelve weeks is a good estimate, but it all depends on whether your dealer has allocation to place an order right away. That's something only your dealer can answer.

Some delays are being caused by suppliers not shipping product until payments received. Gov't team authorizes payments to supply base to prevent preferential treatment.
Also understand that GM and supplier of the trans are agruing over program codes and who has rights to them.....indicates to me a CPU upgrade is needed |
Mine ordered 6/30, built 8/3, shipped 8/6, delivered to dealer on 8/12, delivered to me on 8/15 (2SS).
|
ordered 5-26-09 placed 5-27-09
delivered to dealer 7-28-09 so exactly 9 weeks to the dealer 9 weeks and 1 day to get it to me lol |
my wife ordered mid june and was built last week should have in 2 more weeks:drool:

I ordered mine 27Jan09 ... have the VIN - finally, dealer say's its "in transit" --- they know NOTHING, has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had. I think I'm the only one left who did a pre-order who doesn't have their ride yet. Thank GOD, I found this site and the Camaro tracking info ... amazing to me they don't take the time to make their customers happy in this economy.
