This was a good read!

As a long-time vociferous proponent of an LS7'd Gen-5 Camaro, "suitably equipped/badged", I MUST once again extend my personal thanks to you AND the Team, Scott. :thumb:

I also fully understand the constraints under which this car was conceived and brought to production...and therefore its final content and likely pricing...and WHY those are what they are... :respekt:

I just hope I, for one, have a genuine chance of realistically realizing my wish to own this beauty!

Sa-Lute! :happy0180:

I'm just bummed Scott feels bad about the negative bashing...."Consider the Source", Scott...It's the age of "Anti"-Social Media...Don't let it bug you...I doubt those you mention as the negative types were able to read past the first few paragraphs of your post...Take it easy, don't take all the comments that seriously, job well done...

Just Thanks, maybe I should have waited :)

Mr. Settlemire, your kind of dedication to and enthusiasm for what you do is all too often lacking in industry now. Sincere thanks for keeping the Camaro the absolute best all around "bang for the buck" performance car available now. I only wish I could afford a new Z/28.

I love what you guys did with the front end and the rear is warming up to me. . but what really gets me excited is that LS7 outfitted with headers and hi-flow exhaust roaring down the straights.. it won't take alot to get that LS7 up to 575hp :D Big $$ but big fun as well.

Scott's always been upfront with us as much as he could. He never did acknowledge a Z/28, however it was the TONE of his messages I read that it would arrive. When, who knew, but the Z/28 was coming. He never said it, but he would always say that Chevy wouldn't put the Z/28 emblem on anything that wasn't deserving. It wasn't what he said, but the aura he framed it. Ok, in a court of law nobody could prove anything by what he said, but I just "felt" Chevy was working on something. You don't mold in "Z28" on rocker moldings that come on a ZL1 if the intent for a Z/28 wasn't there. I kinda assumed they might upgrade the 1LE with more HP somehow and rename it, not necessarily come up with an additional model.

But....I'm glad. And as soon as I can get a 2014 ZL1 convertible without the ADM (because I'm not as stupid as some dealers may think), I'm doing it. BFY or RRM, maybe CRT...going to be the color that's going to be tough.

Awesome job on the 2014 Camaro line up. The redesign is very cool, and to give us a 427 Z/28 is just amazing. Thank you to all the people responsible for giving us the BEST car in the world.

I went out Friday and bought a 2013 Camaro SS because I like where the brand is going. I have been a Mopar guy (just sold my 2012 Challenger SRT8) all my life and it's because of the unveiling of the new cars that pushed me over the edge. I am proud to say I am a Chevy guy now. And this is because of the hard work of you Scott and your team. Thank you.

I look forward to many years of fun with Chevy.

Dan2013 03-30-2013 01:54 PM

And by the way, I will be buying a Corvette Stingray in the near future as well.

FINALLYSATISFIED 03-30-2013 01:58 PM

Scott, I respect you that much more. A explanation wasn't even warranted but you simply are a class act and a genuine person. Thank you very much for all that you do, it's is very much appreciated.
