No they are universal so there is no right way or wrong way orientation. I installed them as intakes to pull air in to help cool the heat from the headers. I could not be happier with the functionality and really like the look. Has a more aggressive modern look to it. Under hood temps have dropped significantly too.

I did have to take a few deep breaths before the first cut though. Lol

Definitely not my cup of tea, but as long as you like it! :)

Where in NY are you located? I'm in western NY, near Buffalo. We're racing an autocross next weekend at New Era Field. Should be a few 1LE's there.
