Will there be a 2009 Z/28 model offered?
I have yet to find positive evidence that the 2009/2010 Camaro will have the Z/28 option. I will be very disappointed if they don't. That's the only one I want, but the SS model will suit if that's the top model.
I also want to see the original 1969 colors come back, ie: Hugger Orange, LeMans Blue, Daytona Yellow, Garnet Red, etc. You would think if Chevy is building a 'retro' Camaro, go all the way with it. Make it feel like you're back in the day buying a new muscle car. |
I also have not heard anything concete about the Z/28 option...But truely do we know for sure about anything at this point...There holding alot back (for the appropriate time and place)...But if I were to bet, Id say yes! at some point in the near future.
We just have to keep the faith and keep in mind, GM wants to sell lots of these Camaro...and the consumer has the last say...we squeek load enough, we'll get the grease!...So squeek Z/28 as loud as you can :upset: :upset: :upset: |

:search: No one has officially said or denied the presence of a 2010 Z28. Regardless of the name, expect over 400 horses of pleasure under your foot. |
And this isn't retro. It is a thoroughly modern car with a few design details nodding at the '69 model.

I've owned plenty of 1st and 2nd Gen Z/28 and SS Camaro's to say there's plenty of styling to consider it 'retro' to me. Granted it does have the modern technology, and plenty of [reported] horsepower. But whatever anyone wants to call it, I love it. I can't wait. |

ive seen a purple with the daytona package. but DAMN! talk about flamboyent. it may have been bad ass in the 60's and 70's ,with the free love , to have a purple car. but now...i think its a little ....out there.

I'll respectfully disagree and state that I like the Daytona colors for the Charger. It would be nice to see maybe 2 or 3 retro colors like that to go along with the traditional red, white, black, and gray. I'd pick Rallye green for mine.

I will call it a retro car because some features [mainly front end] look like the 1969 model. The rest of the car looks like no other previous models. Whatever it is officially makes no difference to me, I like it. Quote:
Out of all the Camaro's I had, my friends always said that was THE ONE to keep. I bought it in 1978, only 10 years old. When I sold it for the last time in 1988, it still had the original paint, interior, rally wheels... and looked great. |

Welcome, by the way!!! |
There simply HAS to be a Z/28 offered... it's a freaking CAMARO for crying out loud. Z/28 has only been on Camaros EVER!!! So there HAS to be another Z/28 remade. It only makes sense, since there was a Z/28 in 1969 and that is what we are basing this car off of. :iono:
Z/28 FTW!!! |
I want a Z28 package offered with handling so amped up, a hard corner will detach a cornea. Add in a few engine mods and other race-oriented features like seats with velcro attached. Now that would be a vehicle worthy of the Z28 name.
