To Order, Or To Wait - That is the question...?

So I have yet to place my order, and I am wondering if there's some value to waiting? It'd be great to have one before the end of summer, but I know good things come to those who wait. Will you be able to negotiate under sticker before 2010? Highly unlikely, but I'm wondering what the gut feeling of everyone here is about when Camaros will actually be available on lots and what value, if any, there is to waiting.

Of course, this is primarily a crowd that has placed orders so... ;)

This should help in your decision.

If you can wait to take delivery next spring I am willing to bet you will be able to negotiate a price less than MSRP. It depends on how sales continue to go after production catches with current orders.

If it was me i wood order now.

There have been rumors that GM may raise the MSRP later this year.

If you order today... my guess is it will take 3 to 4 months to get your car. Better hurry.

Hey!

I bet if you order today, you'll get it tomorrow!!

GM's distribution channels are all screwed up, QC nightmares abound, and they are LOTS of folks still waiting on their cars who ordered back in October 2008.

I just have no idea when supply will reasonably catch up to demand. This reminds me of the Wii. There's allegedly no plan to keep supply down by the manufacturer, but it just seems fishy as hell.

The marketing team should've been shot over this. Have those suckers ready to roll out!

Yeah, with the fanfare it has received, it wouldn't surprise me. You can get a V6 Camaro with significantly better gas mileage than a GT Mustang for about the same HP and less torque for a lot less money. Gotta step up to the Shelby if you want to match (and surpass) the SS.

WAIT! It will put you in a much better bargining position! Just start eye'ing inventory at dealers near you. Savings will come to those that wait, can anyone remember the Dodge Challenger's, and how much someone would have saved by waiting for all the hype to calm down?
