TR6060 to 6l90E swap
 
Im starting to gather parts to do a tr6060 to 6l90e swap in my 2011 SS. Dont even say that I should be going with a 4l80e, I have another car with a 4l80e and its a great trans but its not what im looking for with this car. So far i have a complete dash/bcm harness, steering column/wheel with paddle shifters, brake pedal, floor shifter and a zl1 driveshaft. I still need a new engine harness for an auto car,cooler/lines, the zl1 trans itself and a zl1 crossmember. It should be a pretty straight forward plug and play swap for the most part. I found someone that can do a reflash on the bcm and IPC to an auto calibration. Im hoping to find a trans soon and actually get started within the next month or so.

I’m intersested in your swap. I have a 6l90 and was thinking of a TR6060 or 4l80. I’m pushing the limits of mine. What are your power numbers and what build are you using on the 6l90? What do you plan on doing with your old parts. I would like to stay with the 6L90 but the transmissions are so touchy at high power levels. Was the TR6060 Holding up?

Right now I'm about 700 whp but will be a little more next year, The 6060 is working great with no issues, actually still on the stock clutch going on almost 3 years at this power level. I think The car will be more fun and definetly faster with an auto. I will be selling all of the manual parts as soon as I get them removed within the next couple weeks.

Ill have to figure it out and let you know,I wont have that stuff off for a few weeks yet.

where do yall source real ZL1 6l90's and avoid truck reman's. All the official GM stuff i run into is refurbished truck stuff.

I bought one from LKQ with 11k miles on it.

GM has the ZL1 6L90. Or you can change the output shaft
