Atlanta gatherings!

Midsouth Camaro Club debating on which gathering we will be attending this year in 2012. I was looking for some personal experience input. We debating Fbody vs LSX shoot out. What y'all think!:chevy:

I really enjoyed fbody last year.

Mainly just a sit in the parking lot, chill, and drink beer show though.

I don't know what LSX shoot out is...sounds like racing...no racing with fbody.

Thanks for the insight! Was any sponsors promoting or offerings?

G16 all the way I have been attending the FBody Gathering since the G7 (I did attend the G1&G2) it's by far the best Camaro/Firebird Gathering in the nation bar none. We like to call it one BIG AZZ parking lot party where a car show breaks out.

I am part of High Octane aka Team HO aka Camp HO we have the Big Azz setup down on level one of the parking lot. Hell we enjoy this show so much we are kicking off the G16 early this year we are arriving on Wednesday o start the party off right :)

Trust me one trip to the Gathering you I'll ome back year after year.

Sponsors tons GM, Tom Henry, John Thorton, AAC, Hawks 3rd Gen, Car Show Display, 6LE Designs, Year One, Keen Audio, SLP, ect.....

Our ACE5 group attended for the first time. We had a fairly large showing of about 15-20 over the weekend. Our compound will be much bigger this year. We did have a cruise to a local speed shop, and some of the group cruised to dinner, but it's mainly show, with a decent sized vendor corral. Best "organized event" was a preview of the ZL1 and Scott Settlemire with the GM team. Best "unorganized event" was the camraderie of our group and meeting other Camaro owners from other states. We have decided we need to have a "compound" for our group with amenities. High Octane is definitely the "cream of the crop" so far.:D

I don't know what LSX shoot out is...

Here is the link to the LSX Shootout at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce this April that the
OP is refering to. Sounds alot like the Pony Wars event some of us attended a few months ago in Valdosta.

I went to the Fbody last year as a sponsor/vendor and I had a complete blast! I'll definetly be going again for sure. Its basically a big party...takes place in the hotel parking lot. If you have any vendor questions, contact Chad Poole...although I dont have his number anymore but there is a website. An awesome guy to work with.
