Hello, we meet the first Sunday of every month so the next time will be July 7. Not sure what everyone's plan is for that weekend considering that is a holiday weekend though. The location is the link in my sig. Congrats on your new ZL1 btw!

Thanks, I will try and make it on July 7, but I will be out of town earlier that week and working that day/evening.

I have a co-worker who has a Camaro ZL1 also who might be interested in meeting and hanging out. I'll check with him to see if he's available.

mpiersd 06-24-2013 09:36 PM

Won't be there this month. Be out of town with family.
On a side note, the douchebag across the street backed into my rear bumper and took off.
Gonna need a few good places to get estimates from and someplace to get good work from.

Bring him, It would be pretty cool to see five ZL1's in one place... More Camaro's = More Fun regardless of model anyways. :thumb:

Sorry to hear that, is there paint damage? if not you might could go with paintless dent removal. I had good luck with Gerber Collision on Abercorn otherwise.

It's gouged deep into the plastic:mad2:
And looks to have broken at least 4 of the snaps where it meets the quarter panel.

Dang, that sucks... Without seeing it not sure what can be done for it, however, had you been eying a different diffuser anyways, now would be the time to do it. There are lots of options out there...

The touch-up guy for all the local car dealerships is Aaron Bonorato 912-713-7354. He does an awesome job with my IOM Camaro. He has touched up the front 3 times...none of which were by me. Last one was compliments of the valet at the Mansion during Christmas. They gouged the rt front corner paint into the plastic pretty good. Cost $150 and done in an afternoon.
I didn't have any dents or broken clips though, just paint damage.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. Waiting for the adjuster to call and see what insurance wants to do.

mpiersd 06-25-2013 11:50 AM

Aaron is going to be over my way tomorrow and take a look at it

DenaliR1 06-25-2013 03:19 PM

It doesn't look bad, but it has a couple of deep gouges and it's dimpled pretty good from the inside and the outside.
I used to do body work(a lifetime ago) but it looks to need a new bumper cover and that is it. The diffuser is good, taillights lights are good, side lights are good.

You know you can't resist. Were you still planning to do the autocross on the 30th?

Jer4251 06-26-2013 02:42 PM

What's it gonna cost to do it? Our cars are road course cars. Not great for auto cross. But still looks fun.

looks like 40-45 bucks for non scca members

I may end up doing this if any others want to as well.

mpiersd 06-26-2013 04:39 PM

USMCSSGT-RET 06-29-2013 07:25 AM

I'll be there next Sunday. Found out I'm not going on the work trip I was supposed to go to.

Jer4251 06-29-2013 07:26 AM

I'm going to Florida tomorrow. So no autocross for me. Gotta go get me a toy!

Compuzen 06-29-2013 08:14 AM

I'm signed up for the Autocross event tomorrow. Who else is going?

Hey guys, me and another forum member "Hightower" are down in savannah working riverstreet starting Friday and have all day tomorrow off.

We wanted to see if any of you wanted to hangout. We don't have our cars here cause we rode down with the company we are working for but if anyone wants to hang and grab a beer or something we are down...let us know!

mmarx82 07-04-2013 09:00 AM

I think most of us have July 4 plans. I know I do otherwise I wouldn't mind hanging out, sorry guys...

We do usually drive down River Street before we depart our meet. Keep an eye out. Where are you guys going to be at down there this weekend?

Its all good! No worries.

I'm not sure where we will be to be honest. This is our first time working with these folks and I think Savannah places you wherever they want.

Just somewhere along river street. :bellyroll:

DenaliR1 07-05-2013 11:13 AM

so where are we meeting? or are we pushing it back a week?

mmarx82 07-05-2013 11:00 PM

Still on as far as I'm concerned.

I'll be out of town picking up my Harley. Catch you all at the August meet.

Compuzen 07-06-2013 12:58 PM

There's another Solo event on August 3rd at Roebling Road. It should suit the Camaros a little better with the size of the track.

Anyone else planning on going? I'd like to see some more Camaros other than me lol.

wizzard540 07-06-2013 09:28 PM

What time is the meet on Sunday?

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:13 PM.
