Clear Bra for Camaro?

Any one know if 3M or one of the other manf are making a clear bra for the Camaro? A buddy has it on his Corvette and is protects the paint like you would not believe. Here in the AZ I really need it. My GTO had lots of chips within the first year and I had to have paint work done to fix it.

If anyone knows please speak up.

Depends on you....my guy has said that he will custom cut to fit my car if nothing is precut.

And anyone who says it's not worth it, enjoy your paint being chipped.

My dad has it on his CTS-V and it is worth it's weight in gold. His car is pearl white so you can't even see it. I'm getting ABM and worry it might really stick out against the blue but I plan on driving the car so will probably suck it up and put it on anyways.

I didn't do it on my SKY and I am sorry I didn't.

YES my Camaro will have the front and right infront of the rear wheels on the flared area by the fake vents!

:search: <<this is your friend
We've seen like 3 billion threads on this
But anyways back to the question, no I won't be using it

100% yes. It has saved the front end of my Monte from major chip damage. Lots of dump trucks dropping crap all over the roads down here.

Yup. I'll be geting it done on my Berger 2SS. My dealer gave me a local contact in Grand Rapids, MI who will be using VentureShield >> http://ventureshield.com/. They already have patterns for the 2010 camaro. You'll notice that only LS, 1LT,and 2LT are the only options but the LT models will work on the SS. Check'em out.

Click on the "Showcase" link to see a before and after demonstration of Venture Clearshield being taken off after someone hit a garage wall at 8mph. How this helps.

BTW, I'll be taking delivery sometime June/July timeframe. I live in Landsowne, VA (15 minutes from Washington Redskins headquarters) but will pick up the Inferno beast in Grand Rapids, MI as I said before. Check out the pics from their Camaro unveiling http://assets.bergerchevy.com/camaro...ing/camaro.htm

Lots of info but I had alot pent excitement since I ordered my IOM 2SS/RS. And to think I haven't even layed eyes (in-person) on these beauties.

Dude....I can't friggin wait. This summer maybe the most memorable one.

I'm definitely getting the clear bra. I was also thinking of putting the clear film behind the front and rear wheel wells and along the bottom 6" of the sides of the car. I'm hoping this will replace mudflaps. Has anyone done this? Will it be effective? How will it look? Opinions please?

the only part that is visible on this is the seam where it ends. You have to be about 2 feet away to make it out.

Tanner 05-10-2009 10:04 AM

I was thinking of having this done and stopping at the seams so you can't see it as much as if you ran it up the hood a ways. It would stop where the hood and fenders start around the seams on the fascia.

this is something you can not do your self .its like putting stripes on your car yourself .i have a 2008 civic 2 door . i but them on the front and rear bumpers and half way up the hood and door sills i paid 400 dollars and i knew the people and yes it was well worth it . but i had to bring it back twice because at some angles on the car the film started to bublbe slightly and im a very picky person. if you buy the pre cut already done and you do it yourself be prepared to throw it away and its not cheap .think of it this way almost everybody tried tinting there windows one time or another by them selves and threw out how many rolls . just saying it does work but costly if you try it yourself

also remember if you want to take it off in the future you have to put another back on . you will have the sun fade effect speaking from what i know and went through
