The worst part is I have no one to blame but me. I cleared my 1-car garage to fit her in. I do woodwork as a hobby and I happened to have some table legs and other spare table parts on a shelf (been there for months BTW). I was backing out of the garage to head to work and when I was about halfway out, everything came crashing down. Apparently the V8 rumble was enough to unsettle everything. Surprisingly, for all the stuff that fell, this is the only damage. Still sucks and even more so because it's on the body line edge and will be harder to repair. I'm hoping paintless dent removal can do the trick - what do you guys think? Or am I in for a big auto body bill?

Ouch, that hurts.

Also, paint has not cracked so maybe it can be pulled out.

insurance will keep the cost down.

Now you can drive it and not have to worry about it.

It will be hard to get the dent repair guy to get it out of that crease...but it is worth a try. OUCH!

I had a door ding in the crease that runs along the door. It wasn't as big as that dent but it was quite noticeable. Paintless Dent Repair was able to get it out, no problem. $75. Good luck :)

You'd be surprised... the paintless dent repair guys are pretty good... sheet metal isn't as stubborn as it was 20-30 years ago

BTW, this car is so BAD A** loud, that if it wasn't so sad  that you got the dent, it would be something to 'brag about'...:headbang:

:chevy: ''THE 2010 CAMARO IS SO LOUD AND BAD A**, THAT IT SHAKES THE WHOLE HOUSE WHEN STARTING IT UP IN THE GARAGE!!!"...:confused0068:

Man!! I have crap stacked and pushed to one side of my two car garage and have been VERY worried about something falling on my car. After seeing this I will be changing some things up in there this weekend. Sorry this happened to your baby!

OUR72GTO 11-19-2009 11:38 AM

OK.........I'll say it> that'll buff right out!

The dent guy I use will tell me on the front end if he can remove all or most of a dent. You may want to interview a couple of them before deciding on who to use. Their skills vary a lot, and experience will help a lot with this one. On the + side, it looks like it will be easy to get behind the dent to work it out. Let us know how it comes out. Hopefully, you'll be pleased.

Hire an experienced PDR guy and watch in amazement as he slowly massages that dent out. I had a crease/dent on the pass side fender and it took a PDR guy 10 minutes and when he was done, I couldn't find a trace of the crease/dent, like it was never there!
