Camaro Meet Interest SOUTH FLORIDA...gauging interest
 

hey guys I am in south fla. and was trying to gauge interest on a camaro meet down here.

i have a first gen and I think it would be sweet to have all the generations there;I could help put it together and get the word out to invite all firebirds, camaros, gto's, vettes all old school muscle cars too.

I was thinking the best time would be a saturday afternoon in the next up coming month or so; maybe September. What does everybody think?


The location would probably be in between Stuart and Fort Lauderdale. Maybe West Palm??

This would be a "one time thing" and we'd meet at a big parking lot of a restraunt and check out the rides, take pictures and get some good food.

I'm definitely game for that...Was at TORQ on Sunday, had a great time with my 7 yr old walking amongst a few Camaro's talking to owners etc....

I was also a TORQ event and it was an amazing time looking at all those bad bad 5th Gens. :)

Markmass, where did you park your car?

m21man, I would be in game for that... I will bring it up with my local club to get some of our 3rd, 4th and 5th gens going.

great; of course the more the better. I will be getting a date and flyers made up soon if alot of people show interest.

Now that I own a 5.0, would I be welcome ;)

haha yea no questions asked. All auto enthusiasts of course. I'm still up in the air about how to advertise the meet? I was thinking a GM Muscle Car Meet. But obviously fords/mopars would be great as well. "South Florida Muscle Car Meet" period???

I am game if I ever get my damn car back. I was also trying to plan out a cruise night, still working on that. Trying to get a local joint to bite off on it.

Had it parked out back for a bit then went in for the dyno (346 to the wheels which wasn't too bad) then out front - . Met a few guys -- Albert, Steve, and John? I was walking around with my 7 year old - there from 9 til around 1pm

It's funny, my car is still for sale at the dealer I traded it in at for my 5.0.

They're selling it now for almost the same price I sold it to them for :) I did keep it in excellent shape, but I am glad I made the trade before I had to buy new tires and change the oil and other fluids.

I was out there with a DSLR taking photos of the whole thing. I parked my SS off to the side since i didn't enter it in the show. I think i might have gotten you and your son in a few of the photos. ;)

Im in too. I think West Palm is a pretty central location and would have the best turnout. I also have a friend who has a 2010 SS and I will let him know as well. And I'll have my girlfriend bring her Mustang GT:D
