My new N/A SBE build
1 Attachment(s)
Went up to Gen3Performance to get my tuning done for my new TSP heads and cam build finished up. Had 152 miles on the engine when it was on the dyno and 100 of that was driving it up there lol.
Had a local machine shop Howtons Automotive Machine freshened the stock bottom end. New rings, bearings and 1 new piston are all I replaced. Original piston had a bad skirt. Cam is a custom grind Jason Mangum done up for me. Im very pleased with the outcome even with the few issues Ive had with putting it all back together. Scott Culbert done the tuning. Im going to go back and get the E85 tune done on it and it will be finished. See everyone at CamaroFestIX!!! 12:1 SBE LS3 102mm TB Ported Mid Runner FAST PRC 260 heads milled .035" TSP 243/255-111 cam PTC 6000 8" stall TH400 swap Motive 4.10s 93 pump gas 7% ethanol |
Looks like it is making good power. Thanks for posting the details of your build.

Interesting build for circle tracking fun!
|
That’s a big cam! Is it the valve angle on the heads that allows this?
|
Very nice setup, Bo! Just when I was out to bump you on the fast list too. I was on your heels but with this new build I bet you get into the mid-low 10s :thumb:

Hope so

You weren't at Beech Bend in Bowling Green, KY yesterday by any chance were you? My son thought he heard your name and I saw a white Gen5 in the staging lanes. Any updates to your 1/4 mile times?

It was not me bud

Wasnt your car boosted? Why did you decide to go N/A again?
|
Yes it had a Paxton NOVI 1500 on it for 70k miles. Got boring. NA is more fun. I sold that blower back 4 years ago

Thanx. I edited the stall because once I got some seat time in the car and tweaked the tune the stall would flash to 5970ish according to datalogs which PTC told it should go 6000. Close enough for me.

Sick! Great numbers through a TH400 Bo
|
Thanx bud. I just need to get it to run the numbers now.
