Monday morning rinseless
More blasphemy from Glen.
So every Monday they do the lawn here at the condo and I end up with pollen and micro crap all over my car. So it's time for the "garry dean" rinseless method. A detailer named Gary invented it and Roshan has done a nice vid on this, but I love writing about it as it is the easiest way to get a car clean that is well maintianed. TODAY WAS 8 MINUTES TO GET THIS DONE. Yeah I know you're "OCD"..so for you it's 20 min...… I Love the pink rinseless from Duragloss - cheap and shipping is 5 bucks off their site. If you love the turtle wax stiff at wallmat get it. But the duragloss has aqua wax in it so you get a recharge of your last LSP application. So 2 gallons of water, 1 oz of DG, and 8 MF's in the bucket. Blow off the big stuff with a leaf blower across the surface and it does not scratch..each towel pulled out never sees the bucket again, so no need for two buckets, you're not rinsing towels - one towel per panel or so, discard towels as you finish in another bucket. You are always working with virgin sopping wet towels so no scratch. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...s/null-176.jpg use a waffle weave to dry as you go. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...s/null-178.jpg http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...s/null-177.jpg enjoy…if you don't have any suggestions or something nice to say, keep it to yourself - I'm writing this for those who have PM'd me wanting to know more about my blasphemous methods...LOL |
No harsh comments here as this is my preferred method of washing in the dead of winter when my water is shut off to the hose. Instead of using 8 though I use 4 and another bucket filled with water with a grit guard to scrub the MF's.

I gotta get into this rinseless wash craze. There's so many applications. I mean, nothing will ever replace a genuine once-a-week handwash for me, but this stuff seems amazing for car shows where you can shine your paint a lot more safely than with a QD. Just bring a couple closed-top buckets filled with distilled water, your rinseless wash, your washing media, and drying microfibers and you're good go.

hey tecca.....
click this... no one is obsessed with time...the point is that you don't need to spend 8 backbreaking hours to keep your car in good shape like I read about here, all the time.... |
Good info, thanks.
And now this message from Donald Sutherland: http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/i...BLASPHEMER.jpg |

I just started getting into rinseless washing after getting a bottle of ONR. Got to say, I LOVE this stuff! It's quick, and ONR is amazing! You can feel just how slick it makes your paint feel when you're drying! It will never replace the handwash for when the car is super dirty but for light dust as you stated, this just can't be beat!

I might add the amount of rinseless changes for me too..if the car is dirty with real road grime, and not just landed pollen and dust, I'll up the Rinseless to 1-5 to 2 oz for 2 gallons and it gets really slippery.... and after all towels are washed and dried - you need to check the towels for small bits of bark and other things that embed, that might scratch before you use them again.... |
No swirls?
