Ok....I am working getting some more power out of this ride.

I have selected to go with ARH's Longtubes w/ CATS and MRT V2.0 mufflers. Hoping that I get some kickass results combining this with a tune. The parts are still being shipped yet, so I should have them installed by the end of the month. I can't wait. Pics and vids as soon as I install them!

I am coming for sure man. The tint job was incredible. The more it cured the better it looked too. Incredible work done by Speed Styles.

Ok........I am starting to get really frustrated by the process now.

I ordered my MRT V2.0 Exhaust set 3 weeks ago, even though they charged me, they haven't shipped it still!! All this time I am emailing and calling for the tracking number and now they tell me, they weren't shipped. If they don't have em in stock by Monday, I am telling them to return my goddamn money, and I am going to start my exhaust search all over again.

Good news is that the Longtube system by ARH will definitely be shipped Tuesday.

I really want to get these mods in by Camaro5fest, but if I don't I will be very dissapointed....

ALRIGHT!! We are rocking now! Everything is at UPS now! My exhaust, headers and the tune :) I can't wait till this Friday.

I also just dropped in a K&N filter, lets see how much of a difference it makes. Supposed to help some, not a lot. But it will do until I decide on an intake.

Ok so I had the Longtubes installed last night. First off this upgrade is amazon, the car is so much more responsive than before, and the power can be felt at any RPM range. Soundwise, the engine just sounds so much deeper and more powerful.

Now the problem, the Longtube piping is 2.5 inches so the MRT exhaust will not fit. The exhaust is made to fit the v6 stock system, which is 2.25" I got lucky here since the shop I was getting this installed at, Draco Performance had already replaced an SS system, and had the stock SS system on hand. So we were able to install those mufflers for now.

That setup works for now, the sound is great at high speed, but the drone from the SS stock mufflers is ridiculous.

I am going back to the shop later this week, because there may still be a way to make the MRT V6 exhaust work with the 2.5" piping.

Ok guys........here is the incomplete exhaust setup. I have the ARH Longtubes, with CATs and x-pipe, but had to hook it all up to stock SS mufflers for now because the MRT are made to fit the 2.25" stock pipes on the V6 but the ARH setup is 2.5" We will be installing the MRT system tomorrow morning. But I wanted to get a recording of what the exhaust sounds like now.....its crazy outstanding almost track car like.

Here's is a much better video including drive by's. At this point, no part of my exhaust system is stock from the headers on down.

Ordered the Injen CAI today, hopefully I will have it by next week and then I will install it. Funny thing, this could be the first install I do by myself on this car. I had to take the ride to the shop for the exhaust swap.

Blade 06-10-2010 08:49 PM

Ok new stuff installed!

First Injen CAI :)
