Long tubes without cats

Hey guys I'm getting ready to do the exhaust. I'm thinking of buying this kit from Texas Speed https://www.texas-speed.com/p-34-tsp...s-wo2-ext.aspx
but I was also thinking of paying a local shop to do the tuning after I install the kit. Do you guys know how it will run without the rear o2 sensors because I will have to drive it to the shop which is about 20 miles away? Any opinions on this kit?

You will throw codes but it will drive.

You will eventually throw a code with long tube headers un-tuned, but you'll be fine for the drive.

Thanks guys. I just realized that Texas Speed is only a 41 minute drive from where I live. That means I won't have to pay for shipping. :D

After installing my headers I drove to the exhaust shop to weld it up then had it tuned a week later by dynosteve. It’ll drive fine but don’t abuse it till you get it tuned.

As mentioned above, you will be fine and you will eventually show a code, just take it easy until you get her tuned.

I drove my car untuned with headers and no cats for a month or 2. Then installed a RCR rodmod intake and drove it 150ish miles to the other coast for a tune. You will be fine.

I drove mine untuned for 2.5 years with catless longtubes and a muffler delete. Yep the O2 sensors were trash by that time, but it drove.:bonk::bonk::bonk:

I drove mine with long tubes and no cats with no tuning for about a year (other then turning off the cels)

Your not going to hurt anything other then the o2 sensors if you leave them in there. You won't have the full benefit of the long tubes without a tune but its not going to hurt anything.

Send it.

I would recommend on choosing the right exhaust setup. A lot of people like loud, but long term, they end up hating it. You also gotta factor in the drone that the exhaust will generate, because that will wear you down when you’re driving. Buying shit twice costs a lot of money.

Hey guys I'm thinking twice about not running cats with all the talk about emissions. It's only a couple of hundred dollars more for a full exhaust kit with them than without. But what I'm wondering is can I run all four o2 sensors with high flow cats? Is there any benefit to running all four sensors versus the two?

No benefit. The secondary sensors are there to just make sure your cat is properly cleaning the exhaust and will trip a engine light if they see an issue. Doesnt really do anything to the car
