Whipple or bell supercharger?
Just wanted to see how people are weighing in on the twin screw SC options?? Especially with whipple announcing today that they are now taking orders for a ship date toward the end of the month. Pricing also is close in comparison.

It looks like it'll come down to preferrence ;) They're both making about the same power.

I have had a TVS for almost a year.. if I were to buy a S/C right now, it would be the KB.
|
I like the look of the bell supercharger better, however, I have been trying to buy one for a month now and has been just impossible...

i have kb and love it , but i think you will find that most are somewhat comparable with the right tune...1 might get you an extra 20 hp on the dyno or a little higher torque...but my decision really was based on appearance and nasty looking factor..really, 520hp or 540? its really never going to mean anything other than bragging rights..you still won,t be able to get out the hole without some dr,s .. then your gonna start breaking stuff. don,t get caught up with all the hype.. compare hp and tq on paper from guys with legit tuners and dyno #s. then look at cost factor of each sc and get most bang for buck ..whipple might push 40 hp more than maggie but cost 2500 more when all done..you could throw in a set of axles and probably a clutch...kb has been out for a little while and haven,t heard or seen any problems other than my pulley rubbed my hood dampener a little ..don,t rule out twin turbo, they have come along...they will let you get out the hole a little better but take off.

Well the new whipple s/c still needs to prove itself, I've been wanting to get one for a long time but I would like see more independent testing done, witch s/c is better? we will soon find out.

The general rule is that "Whipple > Kenne-Bell"
|
KB FTW. Tried and proven.
