No adaptation in the works???

There are a lot of Vortech cars here in So.Cal..........

BMR's will not work with your camber plates.

Am thinking about a Hotchkis and beating on the one bar to make it fit!:sm0:

Chassis bracing on the Camaro was discussed in depth in this thread. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77858& We track our Camaro without any additional braces.

Thanks, just wanted the option.

d69chris, since we compete with Camaros, and win, with a strut brace, you are totally in the right to want one, regardless of who's brand it is. We actually just had a supercharged car in our shop we were drag testing with. It was a maggie, but still. It is really close to fitting. But unless the airbox of the Vortech is adapted to going around the strut brace, we just can't do anything about it. Structurally, that is where we chose to address the deflection in the strut towers, which we have documented. Plus, due to the design of the front struts, we knew it was going to be hard to have a proper camber/caster adjustment, AND at strut tower brace up top in the same area. Wish there were a better solution and/or more room to work with.

Pfadt camber plates rule out some tower braces and Vortech takes out the rest.:mad0259:

Still might try the Hotchkis brace and adjust the one are with a sledge hammer and duct tape. Should work.....right?:iono:

With a little mod, of using washers to adjust the hieght of the bar, it works fine, with no SC rubbing of the bar!

Thank you very much for posting up with this. I can not tell you how many people ask us about this. We tell people it does not fit, this is because we feel it is too much to ask people to "mod" one of our products. As people can now see, it is completely possibly with a little extra effort. Great job! And thanks again!

Unfortunately, d69chris' SC is not similar in design

I think this could be modded to fit.

Can anybody photo shop it over the above pic???
