Late Model Racecraft LFX Heads/ Cams R&D

LMR decided there was enough interest in a aftermarket Heads/Cams Combo for the LFX 3.6 engine that we secured one to test our CNC'd LFX cylinder heads and our custom ground camshafts. We are hoping to also secure a solution for the fuel system shortly also.

What solution is necessary? I have an IPF'd LFX and have no issues with fueling.

Interesting, would like to see how this performs, especially with the SC...

Wow...this is very interesting. I'm guessing you guys have seen the cams that MACE makes for the LFX?? After much trial and error, now they seem to have a grind profile that works pretty well for the LFX.

Are you guys planning on testing cams only, and then cams and heads? Or are you just going to do the whole deal at once? I know they go hand in hand, but would be cool to see separate gains.

I can't wait to see where this goes.

I am really started to resent owning an LLT. If I wasn't so damn attached to my car and the color I don't know what I'd do.

Agree with this...I can't see there being any fuel issues, especially on a non forced induction engine when there are FI setups for the LFX which are making well over crank 500HP and 500TQ without fuel issues.

This is still good news even for us Llt guys, I'm the most positive Llt guy ever

We already can port the LLT head. We will be testing separately to show different gains NA

OK, you have my attention on this.

Maybe for crazy builds like GretchenGotGrowl's? Didn't he have fueling issues they had to resolve thru trial and error / testing?

GretchenGotGrowl 10-13-2013 01:49 PM

Sounds like they may be adding a lobe to the cam that drives the HPFP. That would be nice. It might not be necessary for NA builds, but it would make FI builds safer. Question is, can we control things with the HP Tuners/EFI Live OSes that are out now? That's what R&D is all about, go good luck guys...can't wait to see the results. If I can help let me know.
