Stock 2012 LS3 SS Edelbrock E-Force Question
Plain and simple... will it be completely safe to install E-force Street kit with edelbrock pre-programmed tune and nothing else? I read all these things about fuel pumps, injectors, rails, etc... I was going to leave my Camaro stock but have started to get the force induction itch. So I started to look into S/C and I saw the stock, clean looking E-Force. I thought that it was pretty much bolt on and go but the more I read on here the more I get nervous about running it stock. Im not looking to go crazy with boost or hp, just want a little more bite to my daily driver. Can I get some input before I pull the trigger? Thx all.

Anyone?

Stock with just sc is fine, but you will need the Jannetty fuel line fix and toss the canned tune. Do yourself a favor and have a custom tune regardless of your end goals it will be probably the best thing you do..

Thinking about getting the same supercharger.

What is the Jannetty fuel line fix and why do I need it?

JRE Line is a MUST,..... with the canned tune You'll be very safe, but you will greatly Benefit from a custom tune. Your car will run more efficient burn less gas and idle better. I installed mine with about 2,000 miles on the clock and am now at 25,000 . It has been a Blast . As with Others If you are doing the install yourself and have Any questions Reach out and hit me up. I have helped many with an answer or a picture during an install.

Another must is pinning the crank, replacing the injectors.......:rules:
|
Crank pinning and "upgraded injectors" are included with the kit and teds tune of course, the eforce injectors wont be in there long, going to do a lpe dual pump and a set of ID850's.
|
Here we go.... This is what I was afraid of. Now it's fuel injectors. Like the 52's are not good enough to run on stock car with super conservative pre-program tune? What do mean by pinning the crank? Again I know there is a slew of thing we can do to this car, I'm just starting with S/c and I just want to make sure it's safe to do that.

Pinning the crank basically is just keeps the balancer from spinning on the crank shaft, I pretty sure all the kits come with this. the injectors are ok for the base kit with some supporting mods. If you are going to do any more then the stock kit upgraded injectors and a fuel pump upgrade is a wise choice

Oh pinning the crank is that step where you drill the the hole with the guide. I gotch ya. Is there people who actually skip this step? That seems like it would be a very stupid step to omit. Is there a way to check and make sure you are getting adequate fuel supply from the pump and injectors with out have to install anything?
|
You want to look at fuel pressure for the pump and the duty cycle on the injectors, you should be able to look up the duty cycle with a scan tool depending on which one you use. as far a fuel pressure your going to need a gauge of some sort. you can search this forum and find the power levels that most people are running out of fuel and base your needs off that. just dont skimp on your fuel system
