Need advice fabing up an exhaust

Hi yall, ive been wanting to get 2-step installed on my car for a long time now but where I live is very strict on having catalytic converters, so unfortunately I have to keep them on, and since im keeping them on the 2-step will destroy them in seconds, so I was wondering if i can figure out some sort of system to where, I push the button for the 2-step it could also open up a bypass valve so my cats wont get destroyed, do yall think just a basic qtp cutout would work or should I go full blown and get a "true" bypass valve, where the side pipe opens meanwhile the main exhaust pipe closes so the exhaust gases doesnt hit my cats but it just vents straight to the open?

You didn't hear this from me....

Punch out the catalyst material so that your cats are hollow, and then you don't have to worry about them.

^^^^ lol. this. I have read on here where a lot of folks did this mod, and it works. You just might not pass a sniffer test.

i might do that:smiling1: my inspection is coming up in January and ill check what they do at the place i get my inspection and if they dont do the sniffer test or even if they do i might just hollow the cats out and ill have to spend an extra 50 bucks for inspection:bonk: if you know what i mean;)

Worth a try. Good luck, and it will sound a bit louder with them hollowed out.
