416ci

Hey I am considering in getting my engine and getting a 416ci stroker but to handle boost.

1. Who has this application on a M6 transmission ?
2. How much power are you making with this setup or FI ?
(My overall idea is to get the 416 and get it boosted with a D1x and maybe add 12lbs of boost.)

Specs and info on what you have done would be greatly appreciated.

It can range anywhere from 500rwhp to well over 1k rwhp. Just depends on what your goals are and how much money you want to spend.

Heres an 830rwhp 416 ls3 with an F1a (#15 boost)

The 416 will be meant for a boosted application but I wanna test drive it.
The goal was to begin at 650rwhp with the procharger. But I think I can do even more. I am curious to see what a boosted 416 stroker does naturally aspirated. Yea I know it sounds a bit confusing.

I am running a 416 LSA with a 2.9 Whipple. Some stuff is different from the photo. Running a Gates HD Green belt, 2.875 upper pulley etc.

oh man this is going to look beautiful. I am anxious to see what I can do with my setup.
For now I am going to add the procharger D1x soon after.

The D1X in not all it's cracked up to be it only makes boost at high RPM's way down on boost in the mid-range! A D1SC or a F1A would be a better choice! :)

I'm at 925 rwhp 862 rwtq at 17lbs. of boost. Plenty of torque throughout the range. Maybe check out a Whipple.

All Manley forged internals, Mast heads, Redline Phase 4 cam, 93 with 100 meth (dual nozzle). Check our Redlines site we did the Redline Phase 4-ZL with the Redline forged 416 short block. Call Howard Tanner for more info, 954-703-5560.

Howard, Roy, Brandon and Rich are a great Team. You can't go wrong.

A 416 N/A is dependent on the cam but should crank out numbers similar to a ls3 only with torque numbers about 50 ft lbs more and being larger can use other options such as some more radical things that a stock block would not so much benefit from such as a stroker CAM, small bore ls7 heads, a ls7 manifold to go with them and a 102. Just some thoughts, and the mast windage tray had to be clearanced even more. I bought my short block new block form Custom engine supply via the net, also known as SAG performance and they sell on ebay guy called Jerry the machinist, in Angola Indiana good informative, and their work holding my 428 together well, I used Molnar rotating and Racetec pistons.

I am hoping that I get a bit more than the stock LS3 in aspect of power.
The bottom end will be forged and I am looking to see what type of heads I should get in regards for better airflow.

:first:

I say stick the D1 on the stock motor and have some fun, while saving up for the forged short block. Then you can always upgrade the head unit later.
