I'm guessing you haven't been to the strip yet....

The last place this car was made for is the dragstrip.

As an Hemi Orange lovin' owner of a Challenger SRT8...I couldn't agree more!

To admit, neither of the cars look comfy in the twisties. Fun, but not exactly smooth. I bought mine for the looks (first and foremost) and then once I drove one I had that same kind of shit eating grin!

Also, the tail pipes on the Challenger are not stock.

oop, wrong forum for me...later.:confused0068:

LOL. Tiff Needell is one of the great drivers.

The fact remains that the Camaro SS understeers and the '10 Chally handles like patio furniture.

:word:

Saying Tiff Needell Can't drive is straight up blasphemy!
For the record, Clarkson (top gear) can't hold Vicki's (fifth gear) bra nevermind Tiff's jock strap!

Yeah weight is definately an issue here, but there are heavier cars that can easily outhandle ours, so we shouldn't get too caught up in that

You make the car go where you want it. Just depends on how you set it up. I seen a dodge omni run a 11 sec run at the strip and im sure that car was never meant for the strip.

There is something to be said about having a "sleeper" car.

Let's face it. Most people look at a Camaro (or in my case Challenger) and see this bad ass machine that looks like it should kill other cars in a drag race or around the streets. But the problem is that the common person doesn't appreciate the weight factor nor the other suspension factors...let alone individual driving abilities of those that own them. And so, our cars can be a "let down" for some expecting more.

Fact is, we own awesome machines for the price points both on the street, and on the strip. We won't win awards for twisty road course track runs though. We simply aren't engineered/designed for it. Buy another car if that's where your enjoyment lies. I think that t.v. show has to keep coming up with ideas/topics and that head to head was just a fun demonstration/exhibition.

It's all relative.

But still, it couldn't hurt to want more ;)

My dad used to own a 2009 6-Speed Challenger SRT-8. Ya the car was fast with a lot of torque, but the Camaro IS faster and handles much better.
Not to say the challenger wasn't BADA$$
