Mrt v1 or v2 on v6?
 

I want it loud but not ricey. Don't tell me it's a v6 it's going to be ricey. I'm working with what I got. I have heard neither but heard their the best spun quality for a v6. Let me know what you think.

The v1 is a little louder but the v2 has a deeper tone. The v2 is MUCH more popular. I would choose the v2 if it were my car.

Personally I like the deeper and quieter sound of the V2 but the V1 still sounds great. Just a little louder and it doesn't have as deep of a sound at idle.

Version 2 all the way.

If you want Loud, i'd get the V1, imo i think its deeper while being louder. Great systems either way

I have v1 and love it. Love the sound but hate the drone. J pipes coming soon.

for anyone who has either does it ever crackle when downshifting? i like that

We just installed a V2 in my buddies V6 today and he is manual. A little crackle but not much. I have heard both in person. V1 and V2 I think both sound deep but the V1 is louder and has way more drone !

V1 does that for sure....idk about the V2

V2. Crackle increases after 1000 miles.

MRT 2.0 for me.

Mine use to crackle, but after adding the OBX headers and Magnaflow Resonated X pipe, not so much anymore, but sure does sound good to me.

now im torn between the two. i wish i could hear them both. the v1 is cheaper and i could care less about drone but i want a loud deep sound as well. im in a pickle.

If you go with the v1 and it isn't deep enough then you are pretty much out of luck. If you go v2 and if it isn't loud enough then you can always go with high flow cats and solve that.

yea you'll get down shifting backfire with the 1

I've had the 1 for about 8 months now and absolutely love it. Crackle's some but not so much that it takes away from the awesomeness of them IMO.

My V2 crackles like crazy!!! I love it, it is so sweet sounding. There is little to no drone and at acceleration it is DEEEP and loud. The decel pop on mine is ridiculous but I can't get enough of it

to me the MRT1 is a step closer to straight pipes from the mrt2 , I have the MRT V1 and like the agressive tone especially at full open throttle. but had to have Helmholtz chambers installed to tone down the Drone at Highway speeds. It sound great now inside and out now!

I have the MRT V2 and CAI Inc intake...deeper sound under the hood and a very refined exhaust not out the back. BEST MOD HANDS DOWN for the V6!

V2 is much more popular because it's easy to make and exhaust LOUD...it harder to make it sound GOOD. My V2 gets compliments from muscle car owners, Euro sport drivers, and even the ricer kids my son hangs out with

Any exhaust will crackle if you downshift it or let the rpms drop from the right place.

With the V2, you can carry on a conversation inside the car or listen to music at a regular volume...To overcome drone, you have to do everything louder.

V2!

i went with the v1 got it today installing it on thursday.

You can carry on a conversation just fine with the V1. This "drone" people speak of isn't horrible with the V1. I will not comment on the V2 as I don't have it, so it would all be speculation on my part.

Good choice. I love my V1. Pair that up with a CAI and you def can't go wrong.

Are there any sponsors that make the v1 or v2 with j-pipes already installed? As in a custom/made to order?

V2.0 and glade I did makes me smile every time I turn the key

Finally got it installed and i love it. So happy with my choice its absolutely perfect.
