I have been searching high and low for old school, muscle car chrome
wheels and I found them!

Specifically, I like from the Legend Series:

I'd say the Double 5 or the Spectrum would be my favorite

A grand a wheel....as long as it makes you happy....

prostock69 07-22-2010 01:42 PM

I know, finding what makes you happy is hard. I look at other people's choices of wheels and cringe! Yet I know they think they are the bomb! It's all about taste. I really love chrome/high polished wheels that are old school. I've been on EVERY major wheel manufacture's site and none of the spoke to me like these wheels did. Now, I need to save up my money so by next Spring, once our car comes out of hibernation, I can put new shoes on her :)

A lot cheaper, but you may like them if you're looking for classic style/Muscle car category chrome wheels (my brother has these on his '67):

I agree- get what YOU want- I LOVE HIGHLY POLISHED CHROME look to painted, coated, etc. Must be a girl thing. I love the Junk Yard Dog wheel! Wish I could afford them myself...a bit pricey but if it's what ya love go for it.

Well with Boyd wheels a lot of what you are paying for is just the name.

ArkySS 07-22-2010 03:22 PM

The American Racing Torque Thrusts look very similar as well and are MUCH cheaper.

Berean 07-22-2010 04:18 PM

I have Foose Legends which are way cheaper. Of course they're made in a China sweat shop too.

I like the look of the wheels but not for the camaro. I think the car needs a modern style. Of your picks the crown jewel would be my choice .

2010 SSRS 07-22-2010 04:27 PM

wow, they are expensive.

prostock69 07-23-2010 01:04 PM

Yes, they are expensive. That's the downside. The upside is they are forged wheels which = VERY high quality.

OK, I think I've got it narrowed down to the one Boyd Coddington wheel that I want: It's Junk Yard Dog and it's on this Mustang. Absolutely gorgeous!!!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKeUjny6p5A I think they would look stunning on an IOM Camaro. Hubby knows someone in the tire/wheel business that OWES him big time so I think we can possible get a deal on these. We'll see. If not, we will go with OEM Chromed wheels.
