Too bad there is no way to quickly tell people to check in here, yesterday I was at someone's apartment up in Somerset and noticed a RJT 2SS with black stripes and a blacked out Bow Tie, and thought they may be on here but they aren't listed on this thread, so they may be out in the general public threads, but no way of finding out. Anyone in the area they are in the AVE Apartments (Korman Estates) on 199 Pierce Street, Somerset, NJ on the first block of apartments on the right after you come in. Just wish I had some way to leave a note and tell them to sign up on these forums or if currently a member to check in here and say hi or send me a PM. If anyway is in that area keep and eye out for them!
Also, today on my way from picking up lunch, I passed a yellow LT (non-RS) with black stripes on Marter Ave. here in Mt. Laurel and we both exchanged light flash/honk and wave. It would have been hard to pull a U-ey on that road, but would have been nice to get them on here as well. Lastly, I was talking to an ex's (way back from high school and one of the only ex's that I am friends with) dad and he was looking to buy one this week. I mentioned our site so I hope he sign's up and joins us on our meet this month. Just funny how I am starting to see 5th geners more and more and wish there was a way to bring them in here. Anyone else run into finding other 5th gens and wanting to tell them about us but couldn't, or had a way they could? I need to start carrying sticky notes and a pen or something... Whatever happened to those business card ideas they posted a few months ago, cause that would be perfect. |
First post onto the forums, but I am playing the waiting game like everyone else. At least it will give me some time to come up with a good name for the car.

I think the business cards are available somewhere in PDF format. I’m going to have to find some and print them out and stick them in the glove box. There is a yellow 1SS that’s always parked at a garage down the street from my place. We passed about a month ago and he waved. I’d like to stop one day and put a card in his wipers. I also have seen a SIM twice in a parking lot in East Brunswick. Again, no way to communicate. As far as passing other Camaro’s on the road, there isn’t much you can do. I will go 2 weeks without seeing one on the road then suddenly see 5 or more in a week. Maybe even 2-3 in one day. It’s weird. It’s also funny that I have only seen one yellow one on the road around me, and the dealership down the street keeps getting in different yellow one’s and they’re disappearing from the lot. I’d guess that they’ve sold about 6-8 yellow’s in the last 3 months and I’ve only spotted one ever on the road. Guess people are buying from miles away which is ironic because I went 15 hours (sorry I’m from Pittsburgh we measure miles in time) away because they same dealership wanted $5,000 above sticker. Anyhow, back to the point – yes I would encourage that everyone prints out some of these cards and stashes them in your car so you can alert other owners about what we have going on here. Gotta find the link to the sheets first. |
