Yes, it's true. I have a whole year to do this before the next C5F, so in no rush. Just keep me posted if anyone comes across a stellar deal  :drinking:

After hearing Mindz's car, I am leaning more towards a centrifugal S/C.

Honestly I just want something that will be dependable for a DD. A little extra grunt will go a long way with this car, and I don't need to be shredding the Pirellis on accident all day long. Just want something that will be reliable, and won't break the bank. Anyone have suggestions? Oh and an audible whine is a definite plus :headbang: |

We had a little "race", and I thought I was actually keeping up with him with the "pink" car, until I heard the blow off valve, and it took off. Later he told me I was actually keeping up with him, only becuase his tires were spinning....... |
Well... if you dont want a lot of power added you could go with the baby maggie the TVS 1900 with the 1:1 rear drive pulley makes it whine... Most people go with the TVS 2300. I think the 1900 on the L99 is good for maybe 450 rwhp with supporting mods. Thats a guess... You'd be totally safe with that much power. The 2300 is good for a lot more and it all depends on drive pulleys and what not...
Something like this deal: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=135782 Otherwise your getting into the big power adders... Whipple, Vortec, Kennebell, procharger... I mean you can turn them down but if you only want a little bit... why pay for a lot? |
