Looking great buddy

Held a car show Labor Day weekend in benefit of a local Marine who died in the training accident in Nevada a few months back. It was a very upbeat day. I organized the entire show myself with very little help till the day of the show when I had most of my family helping. It sure was a great day. Night before chance of rain was 70%. The day of the show was sunny and beautiful, not even one drop of rain. When it was all said and done i made $2116.52 that I donated to the "Josh Martino scholarship fund". It was the right thing to do and I am very happy with the turn out. Here are some pics I got.

Yeah man! As far as I know you can do it if your car has leather. I went to Jo-Ann Fabrics and got myself a red "cloth/fabric marker". All you do is wet a towel, color a section of stitching and then wipe the excess dye off of the leather leaving only the stitching red. I seen it on youtube. here is the link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUUovbRl0C8

Great thanks!!

So how long did it take you to do everything?

Toward the end of the video, are they using the pen inside a wet paper towel letting it bleed through onto the stitching?

Looks good. Oh how I hated dying my stiching. Turned out great but my eyes were crossed for about an hour afterwards lol

You have to let it bleed when you are doing the steering wheel, shift knob, and shift boot. Thats how I did it. With the seat stitches just color them and wipe the excess dye from the leather. The Wheel was a pain in the ass. So was the shift boot because for some reason when you wiped the excess dye from the boot the stitches would get pink. Speaking of pink. Expect to touch it up periodically. What color are you going to go with? Took me about 2 hours. I was meticulous.

It was a pain in the ass. It sounded good when I read about it on the forum. All in all at the end of the day it was the easiest mod and cheapest by far, just takes some time, but wow it makes a huge difference. Had 2 markers into it. $8 bones!

Geez 2 hours huh??? Well I may go ahead and try it. Sometime the cheapest mods are the best looking mods. :smiling1: LOL SOMETIMES! I'm going with yellow if I can find it.

If I did it again it would probably take me about 20 minutes. haha.
