Don't do it. I did it when I had Mustang and the ride was so harsh. And I cut only about 3/4 coil.

NO!
do not cut your springs. once you do it changes the spring rate and can have very negative effects. its just not a good idea. a good set of lowering springs is not that epensive. |
Again...DONT DO IT. Spring rates, ride....its all true.

In case you didn't get the point, DO NOT CUT YOUR STOCK SPRINGS.
|
Completely agree with all the above!!! Bad idea. As mentioned, a good set of lowering springs aren't that expensive. Or, just watch the classified section here on Camaro5. There's usually a set or two for sale in there for even less.

I dont care what the ricer in the civic told you, cutting your springs will ruin your ride quality. Lowering springs are cheap, buy used if need be.

I think there is a trend here.......

Lol thanks everyone. I did it once before in my z28 and couldnt remember how the ride was. I was just curious

We have Camaro's, not Honda's. ;) Everything rides on your suspension and suspension is not the place to cut corners. A good set of springs will ride better, handle better and you can feel confident driving down the road; they are also pretty affordable. Just save up a little cash and do it right

you have a $35,000 car (when new), spend 1% of that and get springs to do the job right.
