has anybody heard an escalade with aftermarket exhaust on it? Probably be pretty close. The L99 is in the escalade, denali, some silverado's.

I actually don't mind that the AFM will be quiet when cruising. It would be fun to mash the pedal next to some unsuspecting Mustang owner just to give them a jolt. :D

Or let that mom in the mini van talking on her cell phone know that she shouldnt be in the fast lane. (people just cruising in the fast lane is a serious pet peeve of mine. Especially when they make me break my cruise control. Errr)

Check into Corsa...they sell mufflers that are tuned not to drone.

I could live with that.

when cruising you wont even notice it (you might notice the lack of a tone due to half the sound being created).

Scott has said already they are working on the regular sound as with the AFM, it sounds slightly different than the LS3, not bad, just different.

honestly as long as it sounds strong and sounds mean when you get on the throttle, i could care how it sounds when im cruising.

I think the real issue is that you don't want to hear everytime the engine goes from 4 to 8 cylinder mode. If you have a loud exhaust, every time you give it a little gas to pass someone, you would hear it fire up the other cylinders, and then as soon as you let off, you would hear it drop those cylinders. I would imagine that would be annoying.

not as annoying as twin cutouts dumping right off the headers for 2000mile roundtrip

I would actually like that very much.

Well, what I mean is that it might not sound like you expect or would like in 4cylinder mode. Also, I think it drops into and out of 4 cyl. mode pretty regularly as load changes and depending on the change of tone it may be kind of annoying difference instead of a steady sound. Then again, maybe it is not that big of a deal.
