what shoul I do?

Hi. i'm waiting whipple to gett the blower and all the part needed to install it and while im wondering about performance I cant take out of my mind the camshaft problem.

I have a night fury i bought from Lethal when they were still on business but while i'm talking whit friends everybody's telling me that the cam is not the best on the market for this .

what shoul i do? i should change the cam or keep it? I'd like to change it before pinning the crankshaft so i don't have to remove the balancer again.
I have my eyes on the brt stage 3 pd wich is the most used but I'd also like to have something more daily driving friendly

any suggestions?

Mine is currently getting the BTR3 with a lsx376 and a SLP TVS2300. Andy at ADM said the btr1 is the best for a driver car. But the btr3 will run just fine. And just be a little less convenient. So I went all Cave man And thought. Vroom Chop chop
Noise good

Do you have bucking while driving? With my night fury I have it around 1100 which is the rpm I usually take while I drive

177 people read this 3d and no one has brt stage 2 or 1 or other blower cam?

Run it

Run it and see what the dyno tells you. If not happy with the result, can always contact Cam Motion and have them grind one for you. They are the ones who grind the Night Fury cam, they will grind a blower cam if you need it.

if i had to run i would go with stage 3...but i don't wanna kill myself for a horrible choice. Of course i'm joking but it is always the same story. if i buy the stage 2 after 3 days i will say..i whish i had bought the stage 3..and vice versa so... :frusty::frusty::frusty:

The stage 3 won't be any worse driving than what you have now. I have a little bucking with my stage 3 but no big deal.

I went with the GM LS9 camshaft. Yes, it leaves some power on the table, but it drives like a completely stock car. No bucking ANYWHERE in the RPM range. The LS9 cam is one of the two most powerful of all the GM factory camshaft offerings, according to this article.

Just throwing that out there as option.

Buying off the shelf is cool and easy, but for really not much more if at all more you can have someone custom spec a cam for you. Pat G is a good guy, I think he charges 20 bucks to spec a cam, then you can have cam motion build it to spec for the same price as an off the shelf item, except its designed specifically for your application.

I sent a mail to brian to see what he suggests. I think I'm gonna end up with the stage 2...let's see what he says
