Removing old window tint questions

Anyone know if there is any specia process for removing rear window tint? Can I mess up the defroster back there?

Was thinking start a corner and then just peel off using some heat if needed..

Just want to make sure I don't need to be cautious about anything ..

Thanks in advance!

Be very careful when do the rear or you will rip the defroster lines.

That's what I was wondering.. Just go slow? Or what's the method?

ehhh i would say bring it to a place that does tints and see if they can take them off for you. possibly same place that put them on. This is a difficult task to do yourself, especially the back windows (rear window, corner side ones)... there is not much space to move around

Go to a dollar store and get a degreaser called "Totally awesome". It works wonders to lubricate the glue and take off tint pretty easy.

Thanks guys! I'll see what the shop who did it says

Autozone sells a specific spray to do that process. I just did it. I also bought plastic razor blades as well and scraped off the remaining residue. Worked fine and the rear defroster still works.

All these guys have it wrong. Use a hand steamer and it will come off with most of the glue. Finish with some glue remover and it will be perfect. Took all my tint off in 30 mins.

Thanks! I'll give this a try. Think Walmart has a hand steamer for cheap? Off to find out..
