CamaroOJ 02-10-2010 12:53 PM

I'm up for it. Just let me know when the date is!

camaros and vettes 02-17-2010 07:10 PM

im in, i tryed to do it last fall but weather was a big factor.

Brokinarrow 02-19-2010 08:38 AM

if you guys want to have some fun, I do some auto-crossing with the mustang club here. It'd be pretty awesome to see some Camaros show up in force, and all the guys and gals that are there are pretty cool. Not just mustangs race there either, usually have a WRX that shows up, I raced last year with my focus (and will race this year with the tC), even had an Aston Martin DB9 show up once! :D

RJBJFIRE 02-19-2010 01:47 PM

Sounds Like Fun, Auto crossing with the Mustangs.... Spent the night at the Des Moines Int. Airport last night, had some training on an Airbus. Our Cedar Rapids SWAT team took me out with precision, 40 cal to the brain… Started training at 9pm and got home at 6am. Now 48 hours at the Firehouse before I get to see my car again.

DJH 02-22-2010 06:56 PM

I might be interested. Depending on the dates. Thanks.

where/when does this take place?

toetter 03-23-2010 03:56 AM

We are lucky people, there are apparently NO Camaro's in Iowa. Let me know, I just took mine out of storage.

RJBJFIRE 03-23-2010 05:18 PM

Don't speak too soon, I saw three 2010's in Cedar Rapids today. I must admit though,I love it when people stare. I plan on getting mine out Saturday for a fun drive. I bought mine form Capper in Marengo. They have been selling most of their Camaro's to other dealers out of state. Let me know where and when if you want to go out sometime...

Is that your daily driver next to the Camaro???

Silverado SS 03-29-2010 05:43 PM

I will be moving out to the Ames area from NC some time this spring/early summer. Is there any clubs that meet pretty regularly?

HRC 03-29-2010 10:29 PM

I'm in for everything I can get to! We try to run a pretty full schedule of events all summer, and can bring any high performance goodies you want!

Hello Ladies and Gentelmen,
We wanted you to know that if you were not going down the the big show(camaro5 fest) we are having one of our own on a smaller scale in Lincoln NE. Anyone looking for a reason to get your Camaro's out for a Cruise we would love to see you. Saturday April 17th. Starting around 10A.M. until when ever. We are going to meet at the South Point Mall parking lot near by the Famous Dave's BBQ joint, on the corner of 27th and Pine lake. If your not sure how to get there try your OnStar blue button because if you have gotten your Camaro with in the last year then you should still have service. Hope to see some of you there.

Just a meet and greet. I'd like to cruise down "O" street after we all gather and chat, especially since it is Red/White game day. But we'll have to see, because Heaven forbid it is illegal to cruise "O" :yikes: and  No racing set up, some peeps will go to the game and some will go to lunch and find a cold one!

Glad to hear that you are going to C5Fest. You will have a blast at the SGMP facility. Will try to find you there. I am going to be up in Cedar Rapids this week at Rockwell Collins. How's the weather up there looking ?

cfcoates 04-06-2010 01:12 PM

I'm in southern Iowa... about an hour from Des Moines. Keep me updated.

RJBJFIRE 04-11-2010 05:49 PM

Speedster, how was your trip to Cedar Rapids? Hope you missed the rain and hit a good few days. I was out to Rockwell the other day for work. Good place and it keeps this town employed.

I am thinking about putting my Camaro5 name across my back window so people know who I am at the fest. See you soon...

greenvillepilot 04-15-2010 06:38 PM

It was good to have you there greenvillepilot, always fun to have cars from out of town around. That is the most fun when we take road trips is how many we can spot.

I'll be there. Been there before with stock suspension/tires. It will perform just fine. You bought a muscle car, not a family sedan.

You can rent a transmitter for the day to put in your car, it's like $10. That's what I did last time out, as it is nice to see your lap times and gauge your improvement.

I have a lap timer.. just don't know if it will work with their beacon.

hope to make it there. It will be a last minute deal for me since I work "on call". I assume you can sign up day of.

I'm pretty sure you should be able to show up and pay when you get there. The guys who run this seem to be pretty decent!! Hopefully it doesn't rain Sunday - I know it said a 30 or 40% chance of scattered rain but that could change:thumbsup:

racrx451 07-14-2010 01:14 PM

how was the weekend?? couldn't make it obviously. hope to catch the next one.

I met Brunsy out at the track. It was a fun day and I got to ride in a couple different cars. My car is waiting on some new half shafts and rear end at the dealership, so I didn't make it with my car. I will probably make their next track days which are Aug 7th & 8th.

Big Brunsy 07-15-2010 01:23 AM

it was a great time, as always. A little wet at first but the track dried up fast. It was good to meet Nate and his Subaru buddies. Thanks for the pics and stuff Nate, hope your car is back running again real soon! :chevy:

It was fun - as always:drinking: There is nothing like flogging your own car at the track though - I can't wait until next time:D

racrx451 07-15-2010 09:11 AM

I will try to be at the next one. glad you guys had fun!
