I must say when I first got in it I thought to myself my v6 could take it in a race but once I got the feel for it I was shocked by the power .

I am sad to let baby blue go but I'm so much happy with my ss it's what I always wanted .

Does anyone know anything about fuse pull I'm not sure if dealer put lower octane in my car .

Congrats on the new ride, very nice. The fuse pull is the #5 & #20 fuses usually left out overnight and replaced to reset the high octane mapping table. I am not sure if that works on the 2014's though?

Welcome to the upgrade club, lol.

My "butt dyno" says the fuse pull made a difference on my 2014 SS, but I make no promises about its accuracy.

I'd advise running at least one full tank, maybe two, of the best you can get through it before doing the fuse pull, though.

Fuse pull is still recommended on the 14's.

(probably a dumb question) Is this recommended for M6s too, or A6s only?

M3hta1 07-08-2014 12:28 PM

To second the dumb question, is there a diy? I did the nap fuse pull, are we still talking back trunk fuse box or the one under the hood?

OP, I'm a little confused. You say you got a "ss rs" yet the photo you attached is NOT an SS, and the link took me to a bunch of cars - not a specific one. Also, your "Drives" info under you avatar claims a 2013 Camaro 2LS. Very confusing.

But assuming you do indeed have a SS (V8 engine), it is very safe to also assume that your dealer has had nothing but 87 octane (or less) gas in the tank - whatever is cheapest. As Stormwalker said, run almost all the dealer's gas out of your tank and then run a tank OR TWO of premium (91 octane or higher) gas through the tank. After the third fill up, do the fuse pull. After you do that and run it for 2-30 miles, you should see a very noticeable difference in the engine's response. Good luck.

Title says "let my baby go..." So I'm guessing he used to drive a v6. Probably didn't get the chance to change his info, or just forgot. It is interesting that he posts his old car, instead of his new one. Lol.

Too busy blasting around in his new SS.
