Torque - Android application- Poor Mans Dashawk

From LS1GTO.com (search here didn't come up with anything)
  • View live engine data on your Android phone - Connect to your vehicle ECU
  • Fully customisable dashboard screens - Design your own layouts and custom dials, use your own themes
  • Retrieve Fault Codes (DTCs) and clear Check Engine lights - View fault descriptions using the built-in databases
  • Upload live data to your webserver or the torque web viewer in realtime
  • Check the performance of your vehicle with BHP / Torque / 0-60 & Quarter Mile widgets

Seems like it has most Dashawk if not all Dashawk functions. All you need is a Driod, the App, and a bluetooth OBDII connector. App costs less than $5 and the BT ODBII adapter costs $20 on ebay if you want to buy it from China or $30-40 if you find it elsewhere. I bought mine on Gadgettown.com

Has anyone here used it for the Camaro? Mine is stored for the winter but it will be a nice addition for my GTO.

This sounds great, but is it accurate?

Crap...why couldn't this be for the iphone? Sounds nicer than dynolicious...and is cheaper! I don't actually have either an iPhone or Android..but fiancee has iPhone and I want to use hers for this stuff lol.

iPhone is a has been. Thing of the past. Droids is the way of the future.

I use the Onstar app with my Droid and it works good.
The Droid is a Kool phone.................

I'm not so sure this app supports the Gen 5 Camaro? I can't find anything about it?

SOPMOD...OUT!

Well it's read right from the OBDII port like a Dashawk or a tuner would read so I'd have to say it's accurate.

Cool, I have the HTC Hero 2, I will have to wait until after the Winter to try it though.

This is a little strong...Droid may be the flavor of the month, but I'd hardly consider the iPhone a "has-been" If you don't believe it's the benchmark, just watch Droid's own commercials...they're chocked full of iPhone comparisons. Just sayin'...
