Just another 9-second ZL1 build by Livernois Motorsports!

We just wanted to share yet another 9-second ZL1 that we built.

Will wanted a 9 second Camaro ZL1, without the assistance of nitrous, so he brought his brand new 2013 ZL1 straight from the dealer to the only shop in the world that has achieved this level of performance on these cars. We installed our normal stage 3 package with some enhancements to achieve this level of performance.

Engine Upgrades Include:
- Livernois Motorsports In-House CNC'd LSA Cylinder Heads
- Livernois Motorsports Stage-2c High Lift Camshaft
- Livernois Motorsports LSA Head Studs
- Livernois Motorsports Exclusive Heat Exchanger
- Livernois Motorsports Solid Supercharger Coupler
- Livernois Motorsports Upgraded Supercharger Pulley
- Livernois Motorsports Exclusive Steel Idler Relocation Bracket & Metco Pulleys
- Livernois Motorsports Spec'd Injectors
- Livernois Motorsports Dual Fuel Pump Upgrade
- Livernois Motorsports Upgraded Pistons & Rods
- Livernois Motorsports Methanol Injection Kit
- Precision Industries Converter Built to Livernois Specs
- Innovators West Oversized Balancer
- Rotofab/Livernois Cold Air Intake
- Stainless Works Longtube Headers & Connection Pipes
- Hardened Pushrods
- 160 Degree Thermostat
- GM 90mm Throttle Body
- Livernois Motorsports Custom Dyno Tune

All of these mods make a wild 742 rear-wheel horsepower and 727 lb-ft of rear-wheel torque, picking up around 300 horsepower at the wheels. We took the car to Milan Dragway and ran a best time of 9.89 seconds @ 143 MPH on Mickey Thompson ET Drags.

All of this was done on a stock cubic inch engine, with a completely stock, unmodified blower (no porting). We aren't quite done with it yet, and plan on going even faster with it. This makes both of the 9 second zl1's without nitrous, Livernois Builds.

Awesome build.
I may have to give my stock converter a rest and try to get my hands on one of those Precision units.
Nice run.

Im curious who built your certifed rollcage and how much did it add to the weight of the car?

babigguy 10-24-2013 06:28 AM

Can you pm me a price on this package

armysig 10-24-2013 08:34 AM

I see you didn't port the blower, but did you send it off to PSI for their process?

This car does not have a cage, as it will not be used on the track much after we are done fine tuning it. This car is built for the street...
