QA1 Front Coilovers....
1 Attachment(s)
Just ordered these QA1 Double-Adjustable Front Coilovers from a local vendor. Was going to try to wait for the Strange Engineering Front Coilovers....but just got confirmation today that the sway bar mount bracket is probably about 4-5 months away....if at all. So...QA1 will get my money instead. I'll post up some more pics once they arrive and I get them installed....

let me know how they are.

Has anyone tried these yet? In January I was going to but then FSP and Pfadt hooked me up.

Just picked them up today. They look really nice. Quality looks to be very good. But I did notice that they were noticeably heavier than my old Pfadt coilovers, but they do use a steel body, so I would guess that heavier than Pfadt's should be no big surprise. Probably won't get these installed very soon, but I'll keep y'all updated when I do.

You really need DA fronts for drag. SAs are asking for issues.

Just FYI.....I did get these QA1's installed last weekend on my car. No issues on installation, fitment was perfect. Very satisfied with everything so far. The ride is very firm. I have the compression set fairly high, and rebound pretty low. The only thing I would say is if you're looking to "slam" your car (a.k.a. lower aggressively), these may not be for you. They will lower the car down a little bit lower than stock....maybe an inch or so max, but that's about it. More than that, and I think it would start to affect the useful travel length of the shock itself. Other than that, I am VERY pleased with my purchase.

It is nice to know that there is another good option for front drag struts for the fifth gen Camaros. We can get these QA1 front struts for anyone interested in them.

Do you see the QA1's a a drag specific coilover or should it be also considered a good option for those of us that need something that works at the autocross, road course as well as the drag strip?
