It looks like the base MSRP on the 2013 GT500 is $54,200. With the SVT performance pack added along with destination, you're looking at a sticker of $58,490.

Well, im glad the outrageous claims of 60-70k base MSRP are finally put to rest. Looks to be right in line with the ZL1 prices...

650 HP for 54k...Thats one hell of a bargain if you ask me!

Yep, Ford website. But, if you build, there is an SVT option, but track pack option. I imagine all the details will come out soon. So, a base GT500 with performance pack will set you back $58,490 and a base ZL1 with no options will set you back $56,295. Net $2,195 difference.

Yeah, so much for those claims of a $60K base, let alone those folks who were speculating higher. Hate to be an I told you so, but.....

Base ZL1 on chevrolet website I'm sitting @ about $54,900
so $3,590

Don't forget they add in Destination Charges so ZL1 is $54,095 and Gt500 is $54,200 thus giving a difference of 1 year behind and $105 more for the Mustang GT500.

Don't forget your gas guzzler tax...Bottom line, prices are right in line with eachother being similarly equipped, which IMO makes the whole what comes standard issue meaningless...

Minimum cost @MSRP: $56,295

GT500 base with destination: $54,995
SVT PP Option: $3,495
Minimum cost @ MSRP: $58,490

Difference: $2,195. (get ZL1 auto, and the gap narrows further)

You forgot the gas guzzler tax option ($1300) that you have to take with the ZL1 if you want one.
