Does the v6 have enough power?

I currently have ordered a v6 1lt automatic and will be upgrading in the future to get some more horses out of it. Ive thought about NOS but this seems like it would be bad for the pistons from what Ive heard. Anyways I recently rode in a v8 manual and the power in it was pretty amazing and my head jerked back everytime it shifted. So my question is for everyoen here that has a v6 or has driven one, does it have enough power to have fun with it? I know that it is very powerful compared to the other competing v6's but does it have that push back in your seat head jerk feeling? haha

It's more the driver son. But it will not compare to the v8. I on the other hand think its more than enough, especially out of a v6. You have to think about it a new mustang gt only packs about 315hp vs the 2010 Camaro which is packing a whoppin' 304hp!

Oh and when it comes to modding it, why go through the trouble brother. For not even a 5k difference in price you can get a similar SS model. I know you may spend more than you would modding your v6 but it will be impossible in that much money to jump your v6 to 426hp. Just get the 1SS.

YES with out a doubt.

I drive around 130 miles and this is my daily driver so I needed to squeeze as much gas out of it as possible. It is almost all Interstate and with the cruise set to 70, it's just a fast idle. Now I would also like to get as much fun to drive out of it as well. Headers, CAI and a tune to get rid of the touque managment would make it drive as a small V8. We are still waiting for a tune but two companies have stated that they would work on it.

I have a black 2SS RS package, My budy at work as a 6 speed RS, both ours came off the truck 2 months ago. I finally got to drive his car I wanted to see what all the bad talk was on the V6.

Wow plenty of power, any one would be proud to drive and own it.

Just remember"Drive what you can afford" and do not keep up with the JONES.

Good luck, let me know when you get it.

I am happy with my V6 although a dealer nearby finally got in the same car in a V8. However, that would of costed me another $$175 a month as it would be about $10,000 more compared to the lucky price I got on the V6. I am just getting a little tired of the fixed up mustangs on the road growling at me when I turn off the road. They like reving their engines. Maybe they are scrared or jealous.

My 1Lt 6 spd is plenty. Did not want to spend more money or gas!! It can jerk your head as it comes down to how you want to drive.

Does the V6 have enough power, hmmm for me definitely not. if you can afford a V8 get it, if not get your V6 and love it everyday because its still a camaro. I hate nitrous thats not a MOD its a cheat(my opinion). Your not gonna be able to mod up a V6 to match a V8 without a turbo or SC and then you've spent enough to get a V8.

haha true! No matter what you have there is always something faster, just get what makes you happy. It's not like you can drive 100 mph on the streets anyways

Just get a 1SS if your talking about modding a V6 with NOS. Highway MPG aren't that bad with the SS, but stop and go MPG:thumbdown:

my v6 seems slower then my friends mazda 3, or at par. and mine has 2400km on it. The power seems unussually low so i am hoping to get a drive in someone elses v6 manual to see how it feels in comparison to mine

For the non-muscle car fans I am sure the v6 has enough..it's an excellent cross over vehicle in that aspect
