I want our guys home. They are our fathers, brothers, sons, mothers, sisters, neighbors, etc. But, I don't think we can leave the country in shambles to try to fend for themselves.

Let me explain something. If you agree, cool. If not, that's fine as well. This is going to be a never ending war. We, as the United States, are going to have to deal w/ these nations and terrorists for many, many years to come. It will be, IMO, a never ending war. We are already in it. They will continue to attack us in every way possible. It is a way of life and belief for them.

I feel if we pull out now, it's going to go right back to the way it was. I think if we were going over there, we should have done it the right way in the first place. We should get police and army set up as quickly as possible and then let them control their own.

If they blow themselves up, so be it.

Honestly I didn't doubt that would happen. the army is having problems recruiting people so the people that are in are having to work harder because of it.

Weather you believe this war was/is a bad idea or not lets face the facts. We are over there and we won't leave anytime soon. I don't care what congress wants I'm in the air force. if we pull out now or anytime soon there will be anarchy. I also believe this is the start of world war 3. just look at the unrest all over the world. and no we didn't start this we are just the catalyst for this. oh well. hopefully no one here will start the bs about understanding everyone elses differences. that's well understood but people honestly don't give a rats butt about what someone elses values are if it restricts their own beliefs. oh well. I'm done ranting.

WAR is defined as a conflict carried on by force of arms, as between nations or between parties within a nation; warfare, as by land, sea, or air.

WAR has no rules but the US seems to think so and tries to follow them while every other nation does not. How can the US win a war when her hands are tied behind her back.

Regardless of what actual started this war, we are involved and to pull out now would end in tragedy…

For the men and women serving in Iraq, I salute you… Stay safe.

I heard we are supposed to be out by late summer of next year. True, not true? Is it not just a civil war at this point (created by us, I know)? Seeing as how I don't know enough to really state an opinion, all I do know is I support our troops no matter what happens.

I couldn't believe we actually sent troops into Iraq. There was no reason for that!

Now, I can't believe we are still there, we cut open a wound and tried to fix it with one stitch when it needed 10. Possibly Congress can get our people out of there, now with Democrats in control (I am neither Democrat nor republican but decide for myself, for the record). This can't be won, because there are three or more sides fighting in Iraq, and the other two don't really care about us. The situation has deteriorated to an almost unfixable state. The people over there must settle their own conflicts.
Britain has seen this, why can't we?

I am behind our TROOPS, God bless them, but NOT the cause.

if we come home the war will follow us.

In a sense, yes. We will always be at war w/ "terrorists." This will be something that will be ongoing for many, many years to come. It is a way of life for them. As long as they preach to their kids that America is the enemy, this will never end. I'll look for the video and post it up if I can find it. But, there's a 10min and 30min version of a video that is just plain NUTS.

Well I was just wondering what people think. I think that I am tired of coming over here time and time again. Now I have to stay here longer? Hell the new Camaro will damn near be released by the time I come home at this rate. This is my third damn deployment. It is getting to be quite a strain on my marriage. Thank god for a supportive wife. I don't have a problem going to war, but this isn't going anywhere. I haven't seen much progress at all. I have spent half of every year here since 2003. If anything it has got worse since we invaded. Our hands are tied, and when we get attacked, we damn near need an act of congress to shoot back. We are being too reactive and not proactive if you ask me, and now I have to spend an additional three months over here driving my gun truck waiting to get blown up. The way I see it, is that it is just like Vietnam in the sense that they are trying to fight the war from Washington, and we will lose again if it keeps up. It doesn't matter how many troops you send or keep over here. It isn't going to accomplish anything when you're fighting an enemy completely blinded by religion. Our way is simply not working. Washington's clock is way faster than Baghdad's clock. Personally I do not see us leaving at least until a new president gets elected.

Thanks to our troops!! It's because of you, present and past, that we can all live in freedom!

I want whatever is best for our troops and although unrealistic, I hope each day that not another single US military member is hurt over there.

There are too many rules for our men and women to follow in Iraq. The towelheads aren't playing by any rules, so in my opinion, we shouldn't have any rules either. Shoot first, ask questions later.

It burns my f#ck!ng @$$ when I see our military on trial for killing these morons. I've never served, but I, as do most, know and love people that have served.

Have all of towelheads choose sides. If you're on our side you wear a white tshirt at all times or something so they can be identified. If you're not wearing a white tshirt, you're fair game. Our guys don't know who they're fighting, so they shouldn't be accused of anything.

Thanks to all who have served past and present!!

USA #1
:thanks:
