Saw this while I was on vacation near Cancun, Mexico.

A Dodgundai? Never seen one but I'm guessing it has a bad transmission and thinks it's nicer than it is. :)

The Hyundai badge really through me off. Pictures don't do it justice. It's much uglier in person.

wow...thats a cheap export. Dont even remove the Hyundai badging and just throws DODGE on it

FenwickHockey65 06-10-2012 10:56 PM

Apparently Chrysler was too lazy to remove the Hyundai badge.

Doesn't Hyundai make the 4 cylinder engine for dodge? Or is that honda? Maybe some cross company collaboration or something.

Here's the official Mexican Dodge site. The Hyundai logo is still on the car in the photos, even though it also has Dodge emblems. The steering wheel still has the Hyundai logo too. Rebadging is nothing new but I've never seen a rebadged car with 2 different car companies advertised on the exterior. Crazy!

Well, Hyundai as a brand is nonexistent in the Mexican market so maybe Chrysler figured nobody would really notice or care.

No, the wold enines (now called tigershark as seen ion the Dart) are an engine family CODEVELOPED with Mitsubishi, Chrysler, Hyundai, and Mercedes Benz..... the current Evo motor, the turbocharged Genesis motor, the NA and turbo motors in Sonota, Optima, etc are all parts of this engine family.
