How "low mileage" is my 2011 Camaro

So I may be accused of being "too vain" about the mileage on my camaro. I also know of a lot of guys who have fewer miles than mine. I'm also not one of those people who doesn't drive the car to keep the miles off of it (I mean, I bought the car, I should drive it.)

Sorry for the above
--With this in mind..

I purchased my 2011 2SS M6 in November of 2011 new (with 312 miles) and got a heck of a deal on it. As of today I've got 9727 miles on the clock and I was initally trying to stay under 10k miles until November of this year (not sure why, maybe trying to hit 5000 miles a year or under).

Since I'm most likely not going to stay under 10k miles this year, I wonder if I'm calculating the mileage wrong for the car's value sake. I've been looking at the mileage in terms of "since I've owned the car" not since the car was produced and devlivered. Should I be looking at this in terms of: Since June of 2010 my car only has 9727 miles on it?

I guess since I'm not going to trade up or sell it is probably a non-issue. Just trying to think how we all look at mileage on our cars and just how really "low mileage" my car is. I plan on hanging on to her even after I purchase a next generation ZL1 (whenever that will be.)

Opinions and comments are appreciated. Thanks!

I personally just account for both the miles I've driven, and the total miles.

It certainly has low miles considering its 3+ yrs old.... and the average now is 15k a yr when it comes to trading in.

Honestly... I wish I had other means of transportation so I could keep the miles off mine but thats too late now... I've had mine almost 4 years and its at 54k

Part of me wishes I waited for the ZL1 when I was looking at them, but my wife would have been pissed to no end if I dropped mad cash for a ZL1 at the time. Since I got about 5k under invoice for the car I really couldn't complain. Thanks for the input so far an more is welcome.

You bought It new with 312 miles? Yes yours is low, my '10 hasn't broken the 10,000 miles mark yet either. Too many cars and not enough time to drive 'em all. Lol

~9200 on mine. Bought it new May 2010. I used to live 2 miles from work.... Recently moved and how have 30 mile round trip so the mileage will climb a bit faster now

I know mine is low too, car came in Oct 09 and I still haven't hit the 7,000 mark. Probably this week. I have another car as my DD and a bike I ride in nice weather some. That's with me driving it to work a couple of days a week and some on more on weekends but still had the low mileage.

2011 here with just a hair over the 15k mark and mine (if i were to trade it in) would be considered low miles so you have plenty of room to drive it and still be considered low milage.

Thanks for all the input. I have a DD as well that isn't this car. I did more miles the first few months I had it just to enjoy the car. Now I keep it mostly in the garage because I'm too lazy to go walk to it and get the car out, and then put it back in when I'm done. These warm days however are making me take it out more often again.

Only 996 on mine. Still sitting in the garage covered until at least June or July, maybe. Don't feel like taking it out.

i put about 800 miles a month on mine, which will probably be ~10k a year give or take.

I don't understand buying a car and keeping it new for the next owner who will buy it for considerably less than the first owner did. My car is now less than $1 per mile of driving enjoyment. I'll probably be around 55,000 miles by the end of summer and it will be worth very close to what yours is

My 2011 that I purchased new with 17 miles in October 2011 has 11995 miles. I'm going to drive it today so I'll break 12k. Its not my daily driver but a weekend/fun car. I also go to car shows every weekend snd some out of town/state shows as well. It gets driven a lot still bc its so damn fun. I don't worry about the mileage, I drive it when I want.

If your asking if that amount of mileage is low in terms of collectability, then the answer to that is probably no, but in terms of normal wheelin and dealin, yes
