This is a short video of an LS3 Camaro SS, D1SC, 0-110 run filmed inside the car. I love this video, the car sounds like a jet. Just awesome.

Notice how fast his 0-60 is, so his low end torque is at least 400 and change to the rear wheels. And from the sound of it, you can only imagine how much hp this thing makes as the rpms rise.

How was he able to get traction in first and second?

I asked him the same question. This was his response (maybe you already read it on the YouTube comments):

"You have to shift into the gears _just_ right.. if I were to launch the car it'd be all over the place. I kinda ease in around 2k rpm's and it'll stay straight the whole way. As far as how much power I'm making, I don't know yet :-/ Haven't dyno tuned it yet."

That was a near perfect launch. :respekt:

I used to have Paxton [centri S?C] on my Z06 and it helped with a better launch since you don't have too much low end TQ, but after that, you have to keep the RPM up, and that's how he was able to maintain a steady speed. I saw some of his other videos. That car wouldn't last six months the way he is driving it.

You have a m6 so definetly the D1. If you had the auto I would have gone Maggie.

You need to look at a hp number vs a boost number for what the TVS can do. Just one old redneck's opinion here, but I'd be comfortable with the TVS at 700 rwhp and under. No need for exotic blower drives and it's easily done. Yes, it can go higher, but not so easy.

As far as boost, again, it's a question of how hard you want to push it. Run fairly mild boost and you get your power without extra heat and belt slip. You can just add boost to a stock motor and be limited to mid 500's before you get into belt slip and high boost/high heat. Add a good intake, LT headers/good exhaust, and a mild blower cam.....and you can get to the 700 rwhp easily that the TVS is capable of.

As far as what hp the LS3 can handle....that's a crap shoot for sure. Do you feel lucky? I've been at 670+ for about a year. So far so good.

thanks for the info!
