It would appear that Robd and myself have great faith in the weather "persons"? LOL

If anyone wants to join us, this is what we're planning...

Rob has never been to Waterton, so we are going to venture that way. We were considering going west, but the weather pattern doesn't look as good. :(

It's a 3 hour drive to Waterton sticking to the main highways. There is an pullout south of Pincher Creek...actually south of Twin Butte...that we can get some nice pictures at. It overlooks the landscape and you can actually see Chief Mountain in the U.S. side. And for others who have never been...it is quite pretty down there. Different landscape that you would be used to in Banff. And there are park fees to pay as well.

OR......we could always head toward Frank, Alberta. It cuts off about 45 minutes of drive time. And we can still get pictures.

The weather looks like its is going to be anywhere from 8 to 12 degrees all along there. If y'all want to come, you can.

Is this a daytime trip? If so, we won't be able to make it but sounds lovely!!

Yes, it is a daytime trip. We do this once in a while to try to get people to play hooky! LOL

The way my boss is behaving lately its very tempting (such a #@$%$#@ baby). Would be fun to take the car out before I lose it for 2 weeks.....:biggrin:

When are you planning on meeting and what time...will think about it.

With it being as long a drive as it is...I'm thinking 8:00 or 9:00am. It would put us there close to lunch time, then some scenery. Still get back at a decent time.

Will see how today goes and what I get done, will let you know! I love Waterton, but have never been this time of year!!

As for where...if you're familiar with the South end of the city, we could all meet in the Lowes parking lot off 130th Ave and 52nd Street SE?

Waterton is great any time of year. It's just the wind that makes it cold. LOL

I know where it is, I'd be coming from the nw.

Its always windy there. We've camped there quite a bit and likely will again this year, great hiking!

I can't sneak out.....but I need to get lots of cruising in! need to get through the engine brake in before the first weekend at castrol
