my only complaint since getting SS

Yes i knew what i was getting into when i got it but moving up from the 2ls i have to say gas mileage in the ss SUCKS big time literally lol. I don't know if it is in my head but i swear when i get on the pedal i see the gas indicator decrease little by little.

I dont regret upgrading to ss but having to fill up 3 times in 1 week is kind of a shocker after coming from 2LS and filling up once every 2 weeks.

Wait, I thought you guys get 28 mpg?

I guess what is if you drive in D and go 10 under the speed limit everywhere lol I dont see how it will ever be possible to get 28mpg in SS. Even when i had 2ls i never saw better than 22mpg

Did you read the thread about SS mpg? Some guys are getting decent mileage.

Yep, that is usually what occurs. :headbang:

hahaha don't forget the premium gas prices..

I get awesome mileage on the highway but city driving is another story. It's literally a third of what I get on the highway.

Obzen 07-16-2014 10:11 PM

What's your current mpg? If you fill up 3x a week you either drive a ton or your car is broke.

Using Edmunds mpg calculator with 75% highway 25% city

SS (Manual) Est. Fuel Cost / Year: $2,938

LS (Auto) Est. Fuel Cost / Year: $2,262

The difference is approximately $676 a year depending how heavy your foot is on the gas pedal.

ive got some mods and a custom tune which does help.

LOL, sure...let's compare a Auto vs. a manual in a MPG topic. lol
