Installing Headers

Hey everyone i just purchased some kooks headers for my L99 camaro ss. I dont have an exhaust yet just the stock oem cat back would i need to do any cutting or welding when i install the headers in with the stock exhaust?

Not as long as you bought the catted or uncatted connector pipes. They will bolt right up to the factory catback.

yea i have the uncatted connection pipes so other than two jack stands missing in the picture im pretty much ready to go for the header installation thanks alot i appreciate it

O2 sensor remover socket, 2 o2 sensor extension cables if not included with the headers and basic tools. Also, make sure you find the dip stick hole before pulling it out so it will make it easier to put it back in. Another set of hands will help greatly!!

it's easier than you think, but if you are a novice it will probably still take 3-4 hours. moving around under the car on jackstands and removing those heavy oem manifolds is tough! you shouldnt have any trouble with your stock exhaust though, given that you have all the proper parts.

my only piece of advice is that if you *are* having trouble with the exhaust, maybe undo the rubber hangers in the rear and any other bolts tying down the exhaust just to give you some breathing room. oh, and make sure you snug everything up really tight so you don't get any leaks.
