Any benefit for GPI Rod Mod intake on FBO L99?

Hey guys,

So I'm running FBOs right now on my L99, but I was wondering if adding a GPI Rod modded intake would be worth it. From what I'm seeing many who are running cams do the intake mod, but I'm not sure if it would be worth it otherwise.

Thoughts?

I did it on mine when I was full boltons. If you’ve done everything else, this is the next step...

From what i heard it will probably net u around 10hp.. many say this is the way to go.. rather than a fast manifold...

I would do the ported rod mod, and port the heads while at it.

I talked to the guys at Camaro Fest last year and they said unless you have supporting parts it's not really worth doing for a stocker, but if you find a good deal on one and plan on doing a cam and heads it'll be well worth it then. I was set to buy one till they told me that.

In the end it all adds up!

lol what? did they at least tell you the supporting mods 'needed' to run a ported/modified stock intake manifold? i've got one with stock internals and felt a performance increase

OP do it man! you'll see gains on an engine with stock internals for sure. i've got one and it works

Im full bolt on but dont have all the bolt ons....... What all do you have? Headers, CAI and exhaust im suspecting? Yes a rod mod intake is worth it.

FBO's and a GPI rod mod is worth it 100% You will see gains all the way across!

FBO for most is headers and a cold air intake LOL no where near what full bolt on is. They need to start using LBO low bolt ons :iono:
