2011 Camaro Indy Pace Car/Festival Cars at Indy on Pole Day + Pace Car reunion

Over the weekend my family drove our 2010 Camaro RS to Indianapolis to see Pole Day for the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 plus the 2011 Camaro Indy Pace car and festival cars and the 250 cars that participated in the Pace Car reunion. What a great event for only $15 per person. We also visited the Indy Motor Speedway museum that is currently featuring most of the existing Indy 500 winning cars going all the way back to the first one back in 1911.
I spotted something unusual while leaving the infied during the rain storm that delayed the running of the "fast nine" towards the end of the afternoon. It was a 2011 Camaro SS hardtop painted white with Indy Pace Car decals and Inferno Orange Rally Stripes instead of the full bumper stripes that the Pace Car has. This was an official car due to the fact that it was on the infield and it displayed the official license plates for the month of May. Anybody know the story behind this car? It reminds me of the Z10 hardtops of 1969. Pics of this partiular car are at the beginning of the photos in post #6. Enjoy!
