A little worried to pull tbe trigger on a Camaro

Hi all,
I have been reading here for a bit and joined the forum. I have been eyeing a gen 6 ss a8 for awhile now. I usually am not the type to research something to death but I can't help but notice how many issues the gen 6 is having. Now it goes without saying that the first year for any new design can be tricky. Obviously the car is under warranty but it's after the warranty that worries me.
Has the 17 been a bit more problem free? We all know any vehicle can be a lemon. It just seems like it's 50/50 odds with the new Camaro.
All that being said i test drove a few and what's not to love.

It's a forum, this is what you're gonna get.

You not reading about camaros falling apart except on forums which represents less than 5% of owners.

2 years here, no problems at all .....go over to bimmerfest or bimmerpost, you'd swear the 4 series is made to self destruct.

I hear you guys.

I have had good luck with th GM vebicles I've owned and my brother owns a 2017 zl1 and a Hellcat. So far no issues with either. Granted they are his weekend toys. This will be my daily. Just couldn't ignore the info at hand.
By the way, i asked bim which one he prefers. He said if he's taking the wife and kids the Hellcat is the car he takes. If it's just him, hands down the zl1 everytime.

Thanks for the replies gents

Researching on a forum like this is good to hear experiences, but everyone is always going to post their problems here looking for help so it just seems like there are a lot of bad ones. In reality, the Camaros done have more or less problems than most other cars.

The a8 has had a few issues, mostly in earlier c7 Corvettes. I've read about a few similar issues on here, but it doesn't seem to be as many as on the vette side.

My questions are what are your exact concerns about the 6th gen.

I own a 17 SS vert A8 purchased 4/17 zero issues but I drive my car 1-2 times a month.

I owned a 5th gen I purchased new 10/09 only had 2 minor issues I sold it 4/17

No issues here, 10,500 miles and nada.

Daily driver, no issues.. the forums tend to exaggerate issues, and usually its something simple that went wrong. This is a solid car, go for it!

I had the same concern, as I hadn't had an American car in ages.

Only issue I have so far is the front wheels making noise when turning (known issue that I'll take care of when I get my oil change).

My concerns were about the powertrain issues. Top end issues, spun bearings...etc

Its only $$$:first: Buy it. You have 36k miles to decide before the warranty runs out.

American cars are all I buy. And have had no problem with any of them.
