Clay question

Can clay be saved for next time? Just finished and the bar is still pretty clean. Can I wrap in a paper towel or put in Baggie for next time? Thanks. :iono:

Yes it can be used over again. Just fold it into itself so you get to a cleaner area. I store mine in a ziplok baggy. Paper towel might stick to it and be hard to get off.

For the future. You should break off a small ish piece and use that instead of using the whole bar.

What they said. I usually cut the bar into six pieces and use them one at a time just in case you drop one. That way you don't have to throw away the entire bar if you drop it.

Thanks for the reponses! I'll break up and keep unused pieces in a Baggie for future uses!

Put a shot of detail spray in the jar or baggie to help keep it moist and not dry out..

If you put it in a ziplock bag, squeeze as much of the air out as possible before zipping it all the way closed.

Give it a light mist of whatever product you are using on to lubricate the surface (detail spray usually) then put it in the bag, squeeze out as much air as possible, and seal shut.

Yea it can be used again as long ad it's not dropped. Like they are saying cut in half or however many pieces and just mist the car and go to work, good luck post pics.

Man, great advice. Thanks again everybody!

Next time when you get a new bar, cut in quarters that way you save 3 pieces and if one is too far gone you have them there ready for you. I use a soap dish wrap with a plastic bag.
