Saw a few threads about guys going from V6 to V8.

Now that it might go downhill fast has me more interested.

;)

3 months after initial purchase of a 1LT we went back and got a 2SS

It happens a lot, people upgrade to the V8 becuase they want the torque, the sound, whatever... Where it always goes south is you'll have someone with an SS come in and say something about a V6... a "team LLT" person will see it and now the SS person will be an SS hole... happens eventually with all the "I did it... traded the 6 for an 8" threads... just wait...

I'll say my piece... it is $7000 more for an equally equipped SS over an LT...

For that $7000 you get 114 horsepower and 147 foot-lbs, Brembo brakes, better rear end gear and a tigher suspension... you be the judge why people do it. You could never boost a V6 up to those numbers including brakes, gears and suspension for $7000... NEVER.

Had my v6 for 7 mths, had her customized and beautiful. Showed her in car shows and she won top 10 in her firsy show!! Traded her in for my 1ss/rs this past Friday. Hated losing most of my mods but the ss is awesome and worth it

Shouldn't go down hill. I see it as a natural progression for those who got the V6 early on like me. It suited me then and still does.

I tend to lose interest in a vehicle after 4-5 years ( i bought in may of 09)

So, it doesn't surprise me at all that people are moving on and may do so myself although my dream car is a Z06 and pursuing that goal.

Angie... Those cars look hot together but... I do miss the bikini pic! ;)

Glad you're enjoying the SS! I got mine out today! I've been so busy I haven't had a chance... :(
